DR. AUSTIN YOUNG

Dr. Austin Young is a Vaal Triangle native. He qualified as a medical doctor in 2019. During his internship at Paarl Hospital and his Community Service year at Piketberg Hospital, he gained valuable experience in COVID-19 treatment, trauma management, and general medicine.  

On his return to the Vaal in 2023, he worked as a locum at a private practice, after which he started private practice at Cormed in April 2025. Since his return, he has also assisted a well-known orthopedic surgeon and worked in the casualty department of Cormed private hospital. He has a special interest in managing chronic conditions and believes that there is always a better way of treating such conditions.  

Austin gets along with patients from all age groups and walks of life. His aptitude for diagnostics and his unwavering pursuit of excellence ensure that no stone is unturned to make the correct diagnoses, prescribe the right treatment, and, if necessary, refer the patient to a relevant specialist.  
Austin has a passion for nature and is actively involved in the family farm in the Free State. His hobbies include action cricket, scuba diving, and golf. He likes traveling and spending time with friends and family.
